My name is Allison Carney, and I am a photographer based out of Osceola, Missouri. I have always loved photography. As a little kid, I would take my disposable camera outside and take pictures of flowers, landscape, and anything I thought would make a great photo. It wasn't until the fall of 2015 that I decided to dive in and learn more about photography. I offered a few free sessions to get some practice, and I was hooked!
Before photography, I taught first grade for 7 years. I began my teaching career in Milan, Missouri, where I taught for 3 years. My husband and I moved to Osceola in 2012, after having our first child (Knox), to be closer to family. I taught here for 4 years, but by then we had another baby (Nora), and it was getting harder and harder to leave them each day. I made the decision to stay home, which gave me time to learn more about photography and to start up my business. We recently welcomed our third child (Evie) to our family.
It has been quite the journey so far. As an introvert, I have had to push myself past my comfort zone as I meet new people and put my work out there for criticism. I truly enjoy getting to know my clients in between shots. It is such a blessing to get to watch children grow up a little more each time I photograph them, and to see their little personalities form. Photography has been a great way to continue to work with children, while staying home with my own kids.
I offer a variety of photography services. I love family sessions, seniors, newborns, engagement, and maternity. I have even attended a birth as a photographer! Although people are my specialty, I do offer my services for commercial purposes as well. Unfortunately, I do not offer wedding photography at this time.
